WHO WE ARE
New Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, a 501c3 non-profit religious organization in partnership with Virginia Beach City Public Schools, Trinity Church and Men of Faith Virginia Beach - and in response to Summer Slide and COVID-19 learning loss introduces the Summer Reading Academy, designed to improve student's reading fluency, stamina, com- prehension and enhance overall reading skills. We invite your child to join in our 2023 Summer Reading Academy where they will, RISE.... READ INSPIRE SUCCEED EXCEL.

The SRA is a FREE, 3 week, face-to-face reading program for up to forty (40) students in grades K-5. The SRA address- es learning loss, learning disparities and other difficulties that students may experience. Transportation is provided to and from the site daily and students receive a healthy breakfast and lunch each day, all provided free of charge!

IN THE KNOW
- Limited spaces available. Spaces filled on a first come, first served basis.
- Limited transportation area
- Students must have completed one grade, Kindergarten - 5th grade.
- Students should bring VBCPS issued Chromebook or a tablet.
- Free breakfast and lunch each day.
- Virtual and off-site field trips.
- Please label student's belongings.
- NO toys allowed.
- Follow VBCPS COVID Guidelines.
- Sick child? Please keep them at home and notify us of their absence.
- Parents should remain in their vehicles during drop off and pick up.
