WHO WE ARE
New Oak Grove Missionary Baptist Church, a 501c3 non-profit religious organ- ization in partnership with Virginia Beach City Public Schools, Reck League, and Men of Faith Virginia Beach - and in re- sponse to Summer Slide and COVID-19 learning loss introduces the Summer Reading Academy, designed to improve student's reading fluency, stamina, com- prehension and enhance overall reading skills. We invite your child to join in our 2024 Summer Reading Academy where they will, RISE.... READ INSPIRE SUC- CEED EXCEL.
The SRA is a FREE, 3 week, face-to-face reading program for up to forty (40) stu- dents in grades K-5. The SRA addresses learning loss, learning disparities and other difficulties that students may experience. Transportation is provided to and from the site daily and students receive a healthy breakfast, lunch, and snacks each day, all provided free of charge!
